Students at Sunnyside Christian have the opportunity to be involved in a wide-range of extracurricular activities, allowing them to explore their interests and passions, develop skills, connect and have fun with classmates and give back to the school and our community.
Drama
Each spring, the students at SCHS have to opportunity to participate in a drama production. Students can be involved on and off stage. This program allows students with a variety of gifts, acting, technology, hair/make up and costumes, work together for a common goal.
Pep Band
A great way to encourage fans and players is through pep band. SCS offers the opportunity for students from 5th grade through 12th grade to participate in pep band. Parents, teachers, and community members are also encouraged to join the group. They meet before school once a week to work on music to perform at home basketball games.
student council
Students develop leadership skills – organizing events and communicating details – through student council. Student concils exist at both the junior high and high school level to develop school spirit and a sense of community.
game club
High school students can stay after school on Thursdays from 3:15-5:30 to participate in game club. This opportunity allows students to build relationships while playing various board and video games.
ffa
Many students at Sunnyside Christian participate in agricultural activities. SCHS offers an FFA program where students can learn and grow in a variety of ways. Students participate in judging and showing animals, as well as parades and community events.
stem
SCS is excited to offer afterschool STEM activities for students in 1st-4th grades. STEM classes are limited to 12 members per quarter, which allows kids to experience and explore a variety of STEM activities.
yearbook
High school students create a yearbook to capture the events throughout the year for students to purchase as a keepsake.
